Obiettivi formativi
Il corso mira a sviluppare le abilità comunicative scritte e orali in inglese, in particolare in relazione alle aree tematiche di interesse del corso di studi. La preparazione include tutte le componenti lessicali, strutturali, di pronuncia e di sviluppo delle abilità produttive e ricettive necessarie per raggiungere il livello B2.
Il corso è facoltativo e non conferisce crediti, né può essere inserito nel piano carriera. Il corso viene offerto agli studenti del primo anno delle lauree magistrali con la finalità di fornire uno strumento di supporto a coloro che frequenteranno corsi di studio in lingua inglese presso l’Ateneo.

The course focuses on expanding the students’ ability to both understand and use the English language related to their field of study. It incorporates the necessary grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and skills work to reach a B2 level.
It is not compulsory and no CFUs are awarded. It is an opportunity for first-year students who wish to improve their English language skills in order to attend courses fully taught in English.

Potenziamento delle competenze linguistiche in inglese scientifico a livello B2
This course will help students develop the theoretical and practical knowledge in scientific English (level B2).

Consolidamento delle competenze linguistiche a livello B2 e l’ampliamento della base lessicale (inglese scientifico) attraverso letture, testi audio e video ed esercitazioni mirate.
The course will cover the necessary grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and skills work at level B2 (English for Specific Purposes), using reading, audio and video resources.

Lezioni frontali ed esercitazioni a coppie e/o in gruppo, con espansione/supporto online.
In-class teaching will include individual and pair/group work with extra online practice.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
La verifica dell’apprendimento avviene al termine del corso e consiste in una presentazione in PowerPoint su un argomento a scelta del candidato, at-tinente alle tematiche del corso e/o al proprio ambito di studio.
Gli studenti che avranno frequentato almeno il 70% del corso saranno am-messi all’esame e riceveranno un attestato con il livello linguistico raggiunto.Language skills and outcomes will be evaluated on the basis of a PPT presentation which students will be asked to prepare on a top-ic of their choice, related to the course and their study programme. Those students who have attended at least 70% of the course will be admitted to the final examination and will be awarded a certifi-cate stating their English language level.
